01 The photo walk
Hi, I'm Barbara, a professional dog and people photographer, specialising in natural, minimalist lifestyle photos full of spontaneous moments. After our photoshoot you receive a beautifully curated gallery with portraits of you and your dog, the details that matter, the Dutch nature around us in the colours of the season, and carefully chosen and edited black-and-white photos.
During our photo walk, which lasts up to 2 hours (entirely as you wish), we get to know each other. Maybe you play with your dog, have a cuddle, do a few tricks, or simply enjoy the calm around you. No two photo walks are the same, because everyone has a different story. You and your dog don't need to pose: I photograph things as they happen and show you the spots where the light is most beautiful. We follow your dog's pace and what he or she enjoys.
Prefer a fully guided, posed photo walk, or a mix? That's possible too. That's why we talk about your wishes and expectations in an introductory call. The call is included in the photoshoot. I'll also help you with advice on what best to wear.
I'm Barbara and I photograph dogs and their owners on a photo walk: a calm walk in nature where I capture the spontaneous moments, like the looks between you and the stillness after a run. A photo walk in and around Oss costs from €250 and lasts up to 2 hours.
02 From request to gallery
Get in touch with one or more dates that suit you, and I'll see what fits in my calendar. We talk about your wishes: in an introductory call we discuss your wishlist, your expectations, the location and what to wear. This call is included. Then I confirm the date: with a deposit of €50 (deducted from the total) your photo walk is definitely in the calendar.
Up to 2 hours, no minimum, at your pace. 1 to 2 days after the walk you receive an online gallery to choose your favourite photos from. Extra photos can be ordered: €10 per photo, 10 photos for €70 or 20 photos for €130.
I choose half of the photos myself, so that together they tell a story, and you choose the other half. Rather leave it all to me? That's possible too.
03 Where we walk
No preference? Then I'll choose the location based on the atmosphere and style you like. Would you rather go somewhere you and your dog know well? Then that's where we'll go.

Puppies and older dogs are just as welcome as adolescent, anxious and enthusiastic dogs. We adapt the photo walk so that both your dog and you feel as comfortable as possible.

Met mijn honden heb ik al diverse fotoshoots gedaan, bij verschillende fotografen. Allemaal leuk, maar zoals Barbara is er maar 1! Barbara haar stijl is geweldig! Daarover heb ik ook ontzettend veel complimenten gekregen.

Via Instagram kwam ik bij Barbera terecht en uiteindelijk heb ik samen met mijn hond een heide-shoot bij haar geboekt. Vanaf het eerste contact voelde het meteen prettig. Ze dacht ontzettend goed mee over mijn wensen en de soort foto’s die ik graag wilde maken. 🤎
Tijdens de shoot voelde ik me helemaal op mijn gemak, waardoor alles heel natuurlijk verliep. Barbera nam alle tijd en zorgde voor een ontspannen en fijne sfeer. 📸✨ Je merkt echt dat ze veel gevoel heeft voor zowel mens als dier; haar rust en geduld stralen ervan af. 🐾
En toen ik de foto’s uiteindelijk mocht ontvangen… wauw! 😍 Ze zijn nóg mooier geworden dan ik had durven hopen. Ik ben er ontzettend blij mee!

Barbara is such a warm and genuinely lovely person and having a session with her feels more like going for a walk in the woods with your best friend than having a photoshoot. There’s no pressure, no expectations and definitely no judgment when your dog decides to show her wonderfully chaotic side 😂
What I love most is that the photos don’t just look beautiful, they actually feel like us and capture our dog exactly as she is. The whole experience was just incredibly relaxed, fun and special.
I have a feeling this won’t be our last session with Barbara ❤️ We’ll definitely be back, because it’s not just about having beautiful photos to look at afterwards. Ik wist niet zeker of mijn hond Hugo zich op zijn gemak zou voelen bij een fotoshoot, maar ik wilde heel graag foto's met mijn hond als herinnering aan de muur. We hebben de fotoshoot gedaan in Herperduin en Barbara had zoveel geduld, ze wist precies hoe ze met angstige en bange honden moest omgaan. We hebben het rustig aan gedaan en met veel koekjes en liefde hebben we een geweldige tijd gehad. De foto's waren spontaan en zijn geweldig geworden.

Vanaf het eerste contact met Barbara voelde het warm en vertrouwd aan. Ze staat in alles voor je klaar om mee te denken en handige tips zoals bijvoorbeeld de kleding keuze. Wij hadden een puppy shoot in omgeving Eindhoven, Barbara had een prachtige locatie uitgekozen. Ook onze kinderen waren meteen op hun gemak bij Barbara, en hadden vooral heel veel plezier met haar. Barbara verstaat haar vak als fotograaf zo ontzettend goed, en weet dan ook de meest hartverwarmende momenten perfect vast te leggen. Zoals zij het licht vangt, een beweging, een blik, is adembenemend, grappig, of ontroerend. Zeer professioneel, maar wel met een fijn warm contact voor mens en dier.

Wij hebben ondertussen onze tweede fotoshoot met Barbara gehad, want ik vind haar foto’s echt prachtig! Barbara is super vriendelijk en enthousiast. Ze kijkt echt naar de hond die de voor zich heeft, zorgt ervoor dat het leuk blijft en is heel geduldig. Ik voelde me heel erg op mijn gemak. Barbara heeft mega veel toffe ideeën en zit vol inspiratie, een fotoshoot met haar is echt een aanrader en het resultaat is zo mooi! Ik ben heel dankbaar voor deze mooie herinneringen!

A little while back I had a photoshoot with my dogs done by Barbara, I am not very confident in front of the camera but we had a lot of fun! There was no wrong answers, the dogs could absolutely be themselves and I was helped with how to properly be in front of a camera. Barbara heeft onwijs mooie foto’s gemaakt van ons gezinnetje. Foto’s die vertellen hoe wij zijn. Die krijgen dus een speciaal plekje in huis! Ons zoontje vindt op de foto gaan heel spannend, maar doordat Barbara heel rustig is en hem gewoon zijn gang liet gaan kwam hij uiteindelijk helemaal los.

05 Questions
Foto Barbara is Barbara's dog photography, working in Oss, Nijmegen, Noord-Brabant and Gelderland. She photographs dogs and their owners on a photo walk, in a natural, minimalist lifestyle style.
A photo walk (a photoshoot with your dog) of up to 2 hours in nature, near you or at a location of your choice. The photos are spontaneous: dogs and owners don't need to pose. Posed, guided shoots are also possible.
An introductory call, advice on location and clothing, and an online gallery within 3 to 4 weeks. Barbara chooses half of the photos herself; the client chooses the other half, or leaves it all to her.
Often in the Maashorst and Herperduin, at the Geffense Plas in Heesch, and in the forests around Nijmegen. You arrange dates by email or DM; with a deposit of €50 the date is fixed.
You can reschedule the photo walk to another date once free of charge, up to 48 hours before the agreed time. The €50 deposit then remains valid. If you cancel, or want to reschedule a second time or within 48 hours of the appointment, the deposit is not refunded.
In case of rain or other bad weather, we move the photo walk to a day with better weather, at no extra cost. A move like that doesn't count as the one free reschedule you can choose yourself.
For dogs of every age and temperament: puppies, adolescents, older, anxious, reactive and enthusiastic dogs.
