Privacy statement

Last updated: 8.10.2026.

Welcome to fotobarbara.nl, run by Barbara Blazevic (Foto Barbara, Chamber of Commerce (KvK) number 96928476). Your privacy is important to me. In this privacy statement I explain which data is collected, why that happens and how it is protected.

1. Data you provide yourself

You can contact me in three ways: via the request form, by email or via Instagram.

Request form. Through the request form on the contact page I collect the following information:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional)
  • The chosen package and the number of people and/or dogs
  • Preferred date(s) and location
  • How you found me (optional)
  • Your comments

The form is processed by Netlify, the hosting provider of this website. Netlify stores your request and forwards it to me by email. I also keep your request in my own management area at Netlify, so I can find it again; it is deleted automatically after twelve months. To keep out advertising and spam, every request is checked automatically (for example for links, sales words and how many seconds it took to fill in); if a request looks like spam, I look at it myself before I reply.

Email and Instagram. If you send me an email or a message via Instagram, I receive the data you include yourself. Instagram is a Meta service; messages via Instagram are also subject to Meta’s privacy policy.

I only use this data to respond to your request, to plan and carry out the photoshoot, and for invoicing.

2. Cookies and visitor statistics

This website only places cookies if you consent to them (see Google Analytics below). The fonts are loaded from this website itself, not via Google Fonts or Adobe Fonts.

Visitor statistics. To see how the website is used, for example which pages are visited and which websites visitors come from, I use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It works without cookies and without local storage in your browser, and no visitor profiles are created. Cloudflare receives technical data, such as your IP address, the address of the page you visit, the website you came from and your browser and device type. Cloudflare does not use your IP address to recognise or follow you; I only see combined figures. Cloudflare (United States) participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Google Analytics (only with your consent). If you give consent in the cookie notice, I also use Google Analytics to better understand how the website is used: for example how many different visitors there are, whether they come back and which pages they view one after another. Google Analytics places cookies for this (_ga and ga…, kept for up to 2 years). Google Analytics does not store your IP address; I have switched off the advertising features and Google signals, and I only use the data for statistics about the website. Google (Google Ireland Limited; data may also be processed in the United States, Google participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) processes the data on my behalf. If you don’t consent, Google Analytics is not loaded. You can change your choice at any time via Cookie settings at the bottom of every page; if you withdraw your consent, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted. Your browser remembers your choice itself locally (without a cookie), so you don’t get the question on every visit.

Signing up for the newsletter. The sign-up form places no cookies and loads nothing from other parties. If you close the invitation to the newsletter, your browser remembers this locally (without a cookie), so that you don’t keep seeing the invitation.

3. Hosting

This website is hosted by Netlify. Netlify processes the technical data needed to display and secure the website, such as your IP address and information about your browser and device. Netlify is based in the United States; data is transferred on the basis of the safeguards required for this by the GDPR (in Dutch: AVG).

4. Newsletter

If you sign up for the newsletter, I keep your first name and email address, the website and language you signed up on, and the status of your discount. You first receive an email to confirm your sign-up; only after you confirm are you on the list and do you receive the welcome email with your personal discount code. As proof of your consent, I keep the moment you signed up and confirmed, with the IP address and the page you signed up on. I keep this data myself, at Netlify (the website’s hosting); the emails go through my own mailbox at TransIP. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email. After you unsubscribe I won’t send you anything; if you would like me to delete all your data, email me and I will. If you don’t confirm your sign-up, I delete your data after three months at the latest.

5. Maps on walking routes

Some walking-route pages let you view a map of the starting point. The map comes from OpenStreetMap (OpenStreetMap Foundation, United Kingdom) and only loads after you click “Toon kaart” (“Show map”). At that moment OpenStreetMap receives technical data, such as your IP address. As long as you don’t click, nothing is loaded from OpenStreetMap. The website places no cookies for this. OpenStreetMap’s privacy policy applies to the map.

6. Sharing data

I never sell your data. I only share it with parties that are needed for my services:

  • Netlify, for hosting the website and the request form
  • TransIP, for my email
  • Cloudflare, for the visitor statistics (without cookies)
  • Google, for Google Analytics (only with your consent)

These parties process your data on my behalf in accordance with the applicable legislation.

7. Retention periods

I don’t keep your data longer than is necessary for the purpose for which I received it. Data needed for my accounts, such as invoices, I keep for seven years, because that is required by law.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, as well as the right to have it corrected or deleted. If you would like to exercise these rights, please get in touch via:

📧 info@fotobarbara.nl

If you’re not satisfied with how I handle your data, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

9. Changes

This privacy statement may be amended. Changes are published on this page with an updated date.
